winter ramblings

Perth is totally in the winter mode right now. Temperature has been dipping as low as 2 degrees in the wee hours of the morning. It sure makes getting out of bed for work difficult; and there are the layers of clothing you have to put on to contend with. Hot chocolate (with bonus heaps of Baileys) is becoming the drink de rigueur this winter for me. And I’m finding myself missing:

  • Sunshine in the evening
  • Going out in tank tops, shorts and flip-flops
  • Evening strolls by the South Perth foreshore with the beautiful city landscape as its backdrop
  • Our regular jogs at the reservoir behind our SG home
  • Mum’s soup
  • You, you and you in SG where we should be hanging out together, having our late night coffee/supper and sharing our hearts out…“O, wind, if winter comes, can spring be far behind?” Percy Bysshe Shelley
